Orange-footed sea cucumbers ( Cucumaria frondosa ) are harvested from the US and Canadian waters of the northwest Atlantic Ocean. They are wild-caught and 100 % natural.

Sea Cucumbers are a high-value delicacy and a traditional part of Chinese and other Southeast Asian cuisines.

Collectively, the various species of sea cucumbers were known as bêche-de-mer in French, bicho do mar in Portuguese, or trepang in Indonesian.

The Orange-footed sea cucumber species, ( Cucumaria frondosa ) is sometimes also called red coral sea cucumbers, due to the redness of its meats. Some Hong Kong caterers market these sea cucumbers as “ Red Coral Clam “ to differentiate it from the Alaskan White-meat Sea Cucumbers. The two species are sometimes served together in the same dish.

The Orange-footed Sea Cucumber fisheries are well regulated in both the USA and Canada and are sustainable. Depending on the fishing zone, the sea cucumbers are landed between mid-January to October. The majority of landings occur during the months of June to September.
